St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew announced the commencement of the renovation of the home of the First Premier of St Kitts and Nevis, Robert Llewelyn Bradshaw. He stated that the home will be converted into a museum in honour of the national hero.
PM Terrance Drew also announced the project will be completed within a 5-month period in time for September 16 2023 – National Heroes Day and Sir Robert Bradshaw’s 107th birthday.
He took to Facebook and expressed in the commencement of the construction work on the museum, which will be created in his honour. PM Terrance Drew noted, “The home of the First Premier of St Kitts and Nevis, Sir Robert Llewelyn Bradshaw, will be renovated and a museum created in his honour.”
PM Terrance Drew stated that Bradshaw had made a huge contribution to the betterment of St Kitts and Nevis. He said that the home of the First National Hero should be a symbol of self-sacrifice and putting the nation above self.
“It should also be a symbol for those who visit us that we hold in high esteem those persons who have made a significant contribution to nation-building, “said the prime minister.
PM Terrance Drew further outlied the team of the project and stated that the Project Team includes Victor Williams, Project Manager and Project Lead, Arlene Edwards of Williams Architectural, Peter Jenkins of Jenkins Limited, Lennox Warner of Lennox Warner & Partner, Travis Merritt of DreamWorks Design, and Calvin Esdaille. The Coordinating Agency is the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) which was represented by Ashmaine Allers, Project Manager in PMO.
PM Terrance Drew also unveiled the billboard, which marked the start of the significant project. The ceremony was taken place on Monday, May 1, 2023, and was also attended by granddaughters (Carla and Araminta Bradshaw-Williams) of the Federation’s First National Hero.
