The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif has paid visit at the ground breaking ceremony of the various development projects going on across Gwadar at the China Pakistan Expo Center. During this, Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif has also shared the glimpses following the visit at the site.
It is to be noted that, during the visit, has also held discussions on the government’s agenda and policies in order to boost the entire state of Pakistan in terms of economy. During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also made delivered the public address. Noting to which, he added that, “The state of Balochistan, being rich in minerals and natural resources, has a very important place in the economic recovery plan.”
He further emphasized on the factor that the focus of the government of Pakistan is mainly on the mining as well as the minerals sector. Considering which, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that, “The government’s focus on the mining and minerals sector, the five areas being emphasized under the overall scope of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), will greatly improve per capita income, alleviate poverty and It will bring local employment opportunities.”
The Prime Minister said that the prosperity of Pakistan depends on the prosperity, stability and integration of Balochistan into the national stream.
At the same time, it is also to be specifically mentioned that, earlier, Prime Minister Sharif was also briefed about various projects including Gwadar International Airport, dredging of Gwadar Port and CPEC. Notably, Prime Minister Sharif laid the foundation stone of Gwadar University and Hoshab-Awaran-Khuzdar (M-8) road.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister inaugurated seven major projects including 286 km long 132 KV Khuzdar-Panjgur transmission line, Gwadar Water Supply Scheme, Safe City Project, dredging of Gwadar Port, 1.2 Mg ROD Desalination Plant and 106 km Dual Carriage Basima-Khuzdar Road included.
