Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif addresses the cheque distribution ceremony to successful applicants who got loans under Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme. He also distributed cheques to successful applicants who took loans under the scheme.
The Prime Minister said that, “the loans given out today under the Prime Minister Youth Program are a continuation of 2013 when then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif started a loan program for the youth sons and daughters of the nation across Pakistan.”
He said that under this program billions of rupees were distributed across the country, the economy of the country and the youth benefited. The scheme was started, then 75,000 vehicles were distributed among the unemployed youths, with a recovery of 99%.
He said, “it was a false impression that people would not be able to recover if banks were given loans, farmers, youth loan schemes and other programmes under which loans were distributed had 99 per cent recovery. The Youth Govt. Businessmen take loans and pay back loans, businessmen earn profits and repay loans, youth have not waived loans, big business organizations waive loans, and loans worth billions in the past waived off. Rents which hurt the national economy.”
He said that, “the love for the country is immeasurable in the youth, if given opportunities, their talents can be utilized to the fullest. He said Shaza Fatima Khawaja, her team, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his team, Thanks to Governor State Bank, President Punjab Bank, Habib Bank and other banks for their cooperation to make this program a success, partners should cooperate fully to make this program successful, the success of this program is Pakistan’s success.”
He said that the youth would achieve success in their businesses by working hard for their families, society and Pakistan. He said that in view of the economic situation facing the country, the government had launched a self-sufficiency programme, saving Rs 200 billion from the programme. Gee, will reduce costs and ensure the provision of funds for the youth. He said that he would make every sacrifice for the youth to work hard day and night to move the country on the path of development because the future of the country is in your hands.
