The Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhary Parvez Elahi inagurated Shahkam Chowk Flyover project on Tuesday. After the inauguration, CM Elahi said that the Shahkam Chowk flyover would help in saving time and ensuring ease for citizens. The overall cost of this flyover project is around 3 billion, 91 crore rupees as well as the three-lane, the dual-way flyover is 606 metres long.
Signal-free corridor facility will be available for 1,20,000 vehicles daily. The estimated cost of the project was around four billion, 23 crore rupees & Rs31.40 crores have been saved in the project.
During the address, CM Elahi said that since Shehbaz Sharif came to power, he is busy destabilizing the Government of Punjab. Moreover the results of the by-elections are in front of everyone.
The outcomes have shaken Shehbaz Sharif and the Federal government as well. The N-League and PDM do not know what they have to do now & God willing they won’t understand. The PML-N itself is a qabza group and also allowed such people to take this agenda ahead.
CM Elahi has further regretted that the N-League is also playing politics on wheat,
He added that the hate of PM Sharif with the people of Punjab could be clearly seen, as the federal government gave wheat to all the provinces except Punjab.
It gave wheat to Sindh but disallowed Punjab to import; he regretted and added that the federal government is neither providing wheat to Punjab nor permitting us to import it.
He added that the federal government has to pay the dues of around Rs 170 billion the government of Punjab and it has also stopped it.
The PML-N is openly hostile to Punjab and in these circumstances, how do they ask for votes from the people of Punjab? We are going to the Supreme Court against the behaviour of the federal government, he announced.
Shehbaz Sharif also disbanded the Al-Mubarak Centre project like other welfare-oriented schemes, he cited. A five-star hotel and a rooftop food court, as big as a football ground.
