The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday held a meeting with the political leaders at the Governor House Peshawar. During the meeting, PM Sharif held talks on several subjects of concern including, condemning the May 9 violence.
It is to be mentioned that, during the meeting, PM Sharif said that, “May 9 is a dark day in history of the country, those who attacked, instigated, instructed and planned the attacks on army installations and civilian property do not deserve any concession. The entire nation has seen the hideous face and duplicity of Imran Niazi, who he accused earlier of plotting to overthrow his government, is now asking for help.”
PM Sharif during the meeting has also condemned the incidents reported on May 9. He said that, “I have visited the building of Radio Pakistan and it is very sad to see the situation there, such acts are done by terrorists, the events of May 9 are very tragic, on May 9, terrorism was done in the whole country and This day was the darkest day in history of the country. In Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, civil properties and military installations were damaged, on the orders of Imran Niazi, the Jathas committed this mischief, they were given formal instructions that they should take action in these places.”
“These incidents have had profound impact on our society, no one has dared to do such things in 75 years, there have been major incidents and accidents in the country, but with patience, tolerance and tolerance, the situation arising from these accidents has been resolved. dealt with, political parties protest but their protests are peaceful, no one has ever attacked military installations like this, this is the first time such incidents have happened, the responsibility of the government is that those who vandalized, planned issued instructions, incited and abused people, attacked military and civilian installations, they do not deserve any concession,” said PM Sharif.
He further said that those who attack civilian property will be prosecuted under the Anti-Terrorism Act and they will be brought to justice with the proof. He also added that action will be taken under the authority given to Pakistan Army, a resolution has been passed in the parliament in this regard, in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Singh, wherever these incidents took place, the implementation of the law has started against those responsible.
