Another terrorist attack on Wednesday night at the police check post near the Lachi Toll Plaza has claimed the lives of three policemen and a citizen. It is to be noted that, the incident took place on the Indus Highway in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The information about the above mentioned has been shared by the officials. Noting to the statement released by the Lachi Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Fazl Naeem, “the list of the martyred cops included Lance Naik Constable Amjad, Lance Naik Constable Junaid and Constable Waqar.”
A resident of Lakki Marwat, Noor Muhammad, was also killed. The details about whom has also shared by Lachi Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Fazl Naeem. Meanwhile, Kohat District Police Officer Farhan Khan also confirmed about the number of casualties.
PRO, Fazl Naeem, added that a heavy contingent of police rushed to the site of incident upon receiving the alert about the attack. The area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched to locate those behind this attack.
It is to be noted that, this is not the first instance of terror attack reported so far in this new year. But it is the second major terrorist attack. At the same note, the terror attack reported in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In where a vehicle carrying police personnel in the Mamond tehsil for escorting vaccinations came under attack. Resulting of which, 5 policemen died on the spot, whereas other two succumbed to the injuries at a hospital in Peshawar. The death toll from the attack on a police van in Bajaur rose to seven.
Not just limited to this, the entire state of Pakistan continues to experience the surge in the number of terror attacks across the country. The number of attacks will likely to ignite up the fire across the nation.
At the same time, the local police authorities seems failing in controlling the terror activities across the nation. Considering this, people are also expressing their disappointment against the police authorities.
