The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, held meeting with the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on the sidelines of Conference of the Parties or COP-28.
It is to be noted that, the meeting between both the leaders taken place on the sidelines of COP28 in Dubai on December 1, 2023.
The details about the above mentioned has been shared by the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, via his official social media handle, via their official social media handle.
Notably, it is the second meeting of the both the leaders after the one which took place in New York, the United States of America, on the sidelines of the United General Assembly Session.
During the meeting, the leaders of both the nation held discussion on the bilateral relations along with exchanging the views on the international and regional issues of mutual interests including the situation in Afghanistan.
At the same time, the leaders of both the nations held discussion on the evolving human rights and humanitarian situation in Gaza.
It is to be noted that, during the meeting, the leaders have appreciated the celebrations that has taken place in Islamabad and the Hague, to mark 75 years of the establishment of the diplomatic relations this year.
Along with this, the Prime Minister underscored that Pakistan and the Netherlands should work together bilaterally as well as through the European Union on matters of mutual interest. He invited the Dutch companies to invest in the areas of agriculture, horticulture, water management and renewable energy in Pakistan.
Both the leaders expressed satisfaction on the upward trajectory in bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
Prime Minister Kakar highlighted the importance of concrete outcome on climate action and referred to Pakistan’s climate vulnerabilities despite being one of the lowest carbons emitters.
Prime Minister Kakar invited the Dutch Prime Minister to visit Pakistan.
