The President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi, has extended sorrow over the demise of the former Chinese President, Jiang Zemin. The President, Dr Arif Alvi, took it to his official social media handle to convey his deepest grief to the people of the People’s Republic of China on the sad demise of the former President of China, Jiang Zemin.
President Dr Arif Alvi stated that, “Former President of China, Jiang Zemin, was an outstanding statesman, who via sustained economic reforms, led China on a term of rapid growth & development, and significantly lifted the standard of living in China. President Jiang continued to deepen the ties & people to people ties between our two nations. He would be remembered for his services and dedication to his nation. Our thoughts are with the Chinese people at this of bereavement.”
Along with the President, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, also took it to his official social media handle to express grief over the demise of the former President of China, Jiang Zemin.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif added that, “I extend my profound condolences on the demise of the former Chinese President, Jiang Zemin.”
Prime Minister Sharif further added that, “The late President was a wise leader & a statesman. In Pakistan, we fondly remember the former leader as a great fellow who made valuable contributions in empowering Pakistan-China relations.”
Xinhua news agency on Wednesday has reported about the death of the former Chinese President, stating that, “Jiang Zemin passed away because of leukaemia and multiple organ failure in Shanghai on November 30, 2022, at the age of 96.”
The agency quoted the announcement of the death of the former leader made in a letter extending “profound grief” at the death of Jiang’, addressed to the whole Communist Party, military as well as Chinese people.
The letter reads as follows, “Comrade Jiang Zemin was an exemplary leader. A great Marxist, a great proletarian revolutionary, military strategist, statesman & diplomat, a long-tested communist fighter, along with an outstanding leader of the great work of socialism with Chinese characteristics.”
