Pakistan: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Pakistan, Mian Shahbaz Sharif met with the Pakistani army chief General Syed Asim Munir at the prime minister’s house in Islamabad on November 30.
During the meeting, PM Shahbaz Sharif discussed the various concerns and current matters of professionalism and national security of the Pakistani army with chief Syed Asim Munir. He stated that the nation expects positive and improved results from the Pakistani military that will enhance the country’s image for the better.
One of the primary topics during the meeting was focused on the different and effective ways to promote the army’s national security through functional adaptations down the line.

The army general chief Syed Asim Munir met with the Pakistani Prime minister for the first time after he took on the post of the Army chief. The Prime Minister, Sharif, further conveyed his congratulations to the new army chief Syed Asim.
Furthermore, PM Sharif stated, “the nation is happy to have you become the Army Chief which will further strengthen the relationship of trust and love between the people and the army”.
In addition, PM addressed Gen. Munir as a capable officer who can lead the security organization of Pakistan. He added that professional development and growth would be a critical factor in future projects and improvements to the function of the Pakistani army at best.
Towards the end of the meeting, army chief Syed Asim Munir expressed deep gratification towards the Prime minister, Sharif. Moreover, he thanked the PM with immense respect at the end of the meeting for hosting him at his residence.
According to the reports, Syed Asim Munir assumed the post of the new army chief after the reign of the previous army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa ended on November 29, and he was the 10th head of the army. Javed Bajwa served the nation from November 29 2016, to November 29 2022.
