The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, on Sunday has extended congratulations to the President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan on being re-elected to the post of President. It is to be mentioned that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan bagged the victory in the recently held elections by securing 52.14 per cent of the overall votes.
While congratulating President Erdogan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took it to his official social media handle to express congratulation, adding that, “Heartiest congratulations to my dear brother President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his historic re-election as President, Republic of Turkiye.”
Notably, while extending the congratulations to President Erdogan on his re-election as the President, PM Sharif added that, “President Erdogan is among one of the few leaders whole politics has been anchored mostly in the service of the public.”
PM Sharif in his post has also mentioned that, Turkiye President Erdogan has been a pillar of strength for the oppressed Muslims and has also been a fervent voice for their inalienable rights.
At the same time, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif added that, “The Presidential win of President Erdogan and that of the AKP in the parliamentary elections is highly significant in many of the ways, showing the trust & confidence of the people of Turkiye in his dynamic leadership. The bilateral ties between Pakistan & Turkiye will continue to stay on the upward trajectory.”
PM Sharif further added that, “I am keenly looking ahead for working with President Erdogan to further deepen our strategic partnership in line with the excellent brotherhood between our two peoples.”
Following the announcement of the results of re-election of President Erdogan, the Turkiye leader in his statement added that, his government will be devoting all of its time and energy on producing the results after the polls.
In specific, he mentioned that, “The government of Turkiye will assure the promise of healing the wounds of the February earthquakes, and rebuild the destroyed cities across Turkiye as well as connecting its people to life.”
“Our hearts and hands will continue to be on the earthquake region,” Erdogan said.
