The High-level Chinese delegation headed by the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister, Hei Li Feng has concluded their visit in Pakistan by signing 6 memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Pakistan and China at the Prime Minister House.
Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Measures Professor Ahsan Iqbal and Vice Chairman of the National Commission for Reforms and Development of China Song Lian signed agreements on the Joint Cooperation Committee of CPEC and CPEC Framework.
Zafar Hassan, Secretary of the Ministry of National Food Protection and Research and China’s Administrator in Pakistan, Alamoor Fang Chen Soy signed a document on exporting red chillies to China.
NHA Member Planning Ahsan Amin and Chinese Administrator in Pakistan Alamoor Fang Chen Soy signed the Memorandum of Final Feasibility Study of Qaraqaram Highway Realignment Physio.
In addition, the two countries also signed the minutes of the Technical Committee of the 21st Conference on the Industrial Worker Exchange Program and ML1 Project.
While addressing the ceremony on this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended welcome to the Chinese delegation from Kabharpur and said that he was grateful to the Chinese leadership for the visit of a high-level Chinese delegation on the completion of the 10 years of the CPEC.
PM Sharif said that, “10 years ago today, then Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed the CPEC, so implementation began even before the ink of the signatures on the agreement dried. The Prime Minister said CPEC Under Pakistan, more than 25 billion dollars has been invested in various sectors including electricity, road structures, pin power and public transport. Today, after the signings of agreements and MOUs, we have entered the second phase of CPEC Economic cooperation will be increased under the new model between the two countries.”
He added that, “Investment will be done in agriculture and information technology sectors under the business-to-business strategy in the second phase. Pakistan will ensure exports of sugar standard with China’s support.”
The Prime Minister said that, “he is grateful to Chinese President Xi Jinping for sending the Deputy Prime Minister as a special envoy to Pakistan to promote people-to-people relations with Pakistan. The Chinese President has shown the world that Pakistan and China are bound in an unprecedented bond of friendship. China and Pakistan are staunch friends and iron brothers. Pakistan-China friendship will continue and no obstacle will be tolerated.”
