During the ceremony, Prime Minister Sharif has also addressed the common concerns, adding that, “the issuance of health cards for journalists and artists is welcome, for this the Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting has a key role. Artists make the name of the country bright, there was a lack of measures regarding the health of journalists and artists, journalists sometimes work in very unfavorable conditions, the present government has taken concrete steps for the welfare of journalists.”
It is to be noted that, Prime Minister Sharif, during the address, added that, “It was under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, the health card was launched for the people in Punjab, the health insurance card was a great gift of Nawaz Sharif for the poor people and the downtrodden sections and that program was only for crores of poor people who Earning halal sustenance but unable to meet their basic medical needs. I would not have objected to the health card issued by the previous government if it had not been run by private hospitals. Without considering who is entitled and who is not entitled, this program was misused and the limited resources of the people were misused. The previous government had also made this project a means of awarding. It is not difficult for those who can send their children to study abroad and also get expensive treatment for them.”
While elaborating on the above-mentioned, PM Sharif has shared that he himself has been undergoing treatment abroad and 80 lakh rupees were spent on the treatment. He expressed shock, if how porr people can afford the heavy treatment fees. Noting to which, he added that, “We have established Kidney and Liver Institute in Lahore. 1000 liver and kidney transplants have been done there and poor patients get free treatment there, while former rich people are charged for the treatment.”
At the same time, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also thanked the insurance companies for issuing health cards. Considering which, he said that, “State Life Insurance Corporation is a government institution, the way we issued health card in Punjab, proper medical fees should be charged and best services should be provided, poor man should get best medical facilities and treatment of major diseases along with minor diseases. should also be ensured, similarly the dream of Quaid-i-Azam will be possible.”
