Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Skerrit- Housing Minister and Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central Constituency of Dominica, extended wishes and greetings on Good Friday and blessed people with all happiness. She also shared glimpses of stations of the crosswalk from Roseau to Morne Bruce.
Melissa Skerrit added, “Stations of the Cross walk from Roseau to Morne Bruce in Dominica. May on this Holy Friday the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus infuse your life with inspiration and give you the courage to stay on God’s path. “Good Friday.”
On the surface, the events of this day may seem to be anything but good. The very Son of God was put to death. The sinless King of Kings was crucified like a criminal. It looked as though all hope was lost. How could this day be good? It is good because of what was accomplished through Jesus’ death: the payment for the sins of the world. The day is known as God demonstrated the depth of His love for us by sending His Son to die for the forgiveness of their sins, so that the broken relationship with God would be healed and that people would receive eternal life with Him.
On this day, people believe that:
Because God so loved this world
That He gave His only Son
And whosoever believes will not perish
They shall have eternal life
Good Friday is a day for sombre reflection. It encourages people to take the time to honour the way Jesus suffered and died for their sins. People all around the world thank and extend many blessings. Today, people remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his ultimate act of love for all of humanity. On this Good Friday, people reflect on the significance of his death and the hope it brings for their future. They all wish to find peace and strength in his teachings.
Melissa Skerrit is committed to uplift the country and its citizens with developmental plans. Earlier, she is also asked the people to attend the Easter Day on Sunday in Dominica. Melissa Skerrit stated that there will be fun activities and celebration in remembrance of Jesus Christ.
