St Kitts and Nevis: Denzil Douglas- Minister of Foreign Affairs, extended greetings to thirteen students from the Public High Schools in St Kitts and Nevis who are Recipients of the 2022-2023 Susanna Lee High School Scholarship Awards.
Denzil Douglas took to Facebook and stated, “CONGRATULATIONS to the Thirteen Students from the 8 Public High Schools in St Kitts and Nevis who are Recipients of the 2022-2023 Susanna Lee High School Scholarship Awards under the umbrella of St Christopher and Nevis Social Security Board Scholarship Programme.”
This year’s recipients are:
Tamyiah Hodge and Joshyan Percival of the Washington Archibald High School;
Jah-Rule Ryan of the Cayon High School;
Tariek Hendricks of the Basseterre High School;
Anaikwan Dormoy of the Verchilds High School;
Shequan Liddie, Denyjah Matthew and K’Zenique Flemming of Charles E. Mills Secondary School,
Vaydan Clarke-Neal and Kezia Phillip of the Gingerland Secondary School (Nevis)
Jayisha Christopher of Charlestown Secondary School (Nevis)
Yeshua Langley and Raiden Blair of the Saddlers Secondary School.
During Thursday’s Ceremony, seven fifth-form graduates of the programme were also recognised for their academic achievements in the recent CSEC Examinations.
In attendance at the Ceremony, which was held on Thursday, 23rd February, were; PM Dr Terrance Drew, Minister with responsibility for Social Security et al.; Deputy PM Dr Geoffrey Hanley, Minister with responsibility for Education et al.; Social Security Director Ag, Marilyn Johnson, Chair of the SS Board, Mrs Janet Harris and Board Members and Staff of Social Security, Chief Education Officer Mrs Lisa Archibald-Pistana, Parents and other well wishers.
“This annual High School Scholarship is awarded to deserving Students and is one way Social Security partners with the Education of our Students, “said the minister.
Denzil Douglas also met and held discussions (fruitful) with Several Investors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and many have expressed interests in investing in the Federation.
