The President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday held meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of Indonesia, Adam Mulawarman Tugio. The meeting took place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in the capital city of Islamabad.
During the meeting, the President of Pakistan, Dr Alvi not only uplifted the contributions made by Ambassador Adam Mulawarman Tugio, during his posting, but also highlighted the expansions and various plans that both the nations have made in order to mark the growth in the bilateral ties.
It is to be noted that, the President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi has shared the glimpses of the meeting on his official social media handle. The talks during the meeting revolved across the close and friendly relations between both the nations.
Amid the meeting, President Arif Alvi said that, “Pakistan cherishes its close, friendly and fraternal ties with Indonesia, which are marked by the religious and cultural affinities and commonality of views on different issues.”
At the same time, he also mentioned about the major sectors, on which both the nations have focused during this time, including the trade and economic sector, which he called as the major element in the ties between Pakistan and Indonesia.
Considering which, President Alvi said that, “Expanded trade, investment as well as the economic cooperation is the vital element of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Indonesia.”
Alongside, President Alvi has also ensured that Pakistan is keen to boost its cooperation with Indonesia in all the sectors. Noting which, he said that, “Pakistan is keen to further deepen its cooperation in the fields of commerce, culture, tourism, and people to people contacts.”
He said that, “the businessmen in Indonesia should explore investment opportunities in Pakistan and benefit from its investment-friendly policies.”
Moreover, President Alvi said that, “Increased mutual political and cultural exchanges are imperative to further improve the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Indonesia.”
