The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting in Lahore with the party officials for discussing the ongoing welfare projects for the people of Pakistan as well as the proposed projects. During the meeting, PM Sharif also pointed out at the former Prime Minister Imran Khan-led government for deliberately stopping the development projects that were initiated under the PML-N government.
It is to be specifically mentioned that, PM Sharif, during the meeting, said that, “The journey of the development of Punjab that we started, was deliberately stopped by the previous government.”
He further mentioned that, the previous government in this way has taken revenge from the people of Punjab for showing their support towards the PML-N government.
During the meeting, the PM also held discussions on the ongoing plans and the efforts by the government to install the new plans in and across Lahore. He also added that, “The state of Punjab was handed over to an incompetent and puppet Chief Minister of the previous government. As instead of focusing on the development of Punjab, the post of the Chief Minister was used for political alliance in the federation.”
Meanwhile, he has also mentioned that the projects that would have been completed and also reduced the difficulties of the people have been delayed for years.
At the same time, PM Sharif has also directed the concerned authorities to step up the pace in regulating the continuity of the ongoing development works, adding that, “All these ongoing projects should be completed as soon as possible.”
Notably, during the meeting, detailed briefing was given to the meeting regarding the plan of the Imamia Colony Flyover. Along with this, The meeting was also informed about the proposed project of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway Link Road for the convenience of the people of Gujranwala. Noting to which, Prime Minister Sharif has directed the Chief Minister of Punjab to form a three-member committee in this regard and the committee will present a detailed briefing about the project at the upcoming meeting.
