The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, on Tuesday paid a visit at the residence of Begum Najma Hameed, the key leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Rawalpindi. PM Sharif, during the visit, also expressed condolences to the family of Begum Namja Hameed.
Prime Minister, during the visit at the residence of the late senior Parliamentarian, expressed condolences to her younger sister Tahira Aurangzeb and niece Maryam Aurangzeb, Hasan Aurangzeb.
During the visit, PM Sharif stated that, “Condolences to the family members of the late Minister, including her younger sister Tahira Aurangzeb and niece Maryam Aurangzeb, Hasan Aurangzeb.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took it to his official social media handle to express grief over the loss of Begum Najma Hameed. He stated that, “The sorrow of Najma’s death cannot be expressed in words. She was a kind and sincere sister.”
“Her sacrifices for the party and leadership are unforgettable. Najma never cared about the cold and heat of the seasons, always holding the flag of loyalty and ideals. After the death of sister Kulsoom, another sister has gone to heaven,” said Prime Minister Sharif.
He further added that, “In the historical struggle of Begum Kulsoom, Apa Najma was with her as a rock. Apa Najma was the sincere sister of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.”
“She used to prove her commitment, sincerity and loyalty, she was the identity of the party in Rawalpindi and her house was the fortress of Muslim League (N),” noted PM Sharif.
Notably, the Former President of the women’s wing of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), as well as senior Parliamentarian Najma Hameed Begum Najma Hameed, passed away last week on Saturday at the age of 78 years old after a prolonged illness.
The former Parliamentarian was regarded as the face of the PML-N in Rawalpindi & was a member of the Senate two times.
