The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, on Tuesday held meeting with the members of the Commission which has been established regarding the complaints of students of Balochistan. During the meeting, the members have addressed the Prime Minister on the report prepared by the Commission.
During the meeting, PM Sharif has appreciated the performance of the Commission which was established in September 2022. PM Sharif said that, “the report of the Commission regarding the grievances of Baloch students and their redressal is very comprehensive. Federal and provincial institutions should take steps to ensure the implementation of the recommendations that have been mentioned in the report.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that how the development scale of Pakistan is directly connected with the Balochistan, sharing that, “Pakistan’s development is connected with the development of Balochistan, it should be possible to provide development funds for Balochistan.”
At the same time, he further said that the national political leadership is giving the message of peace, friendship as well as prosperity to the people of Balochistan. All the problems of Balochistan and its people, especially the problem of missing persons, should be solved by all the stakeholders of the state sitting together. National unity and development should be ensured by adopting partnership and partnership strategy.”
It is to be mentioned that, the meeting was attended by the convener of the Commission, Sardar Akhtar Mengal (Member of the National Assembly). Along with this, the members Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Senator Kamran Murtaza, Afrasiab Khattak, Nasir Mahmood Khosa, Major (Retd.) Hasnain, Additional Secretary Senate have also taken part in the meeting.
Considerably, the Pakistan Federal Minister for Defense Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister for Interior, Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Law as well as Justice Azam Nazir Tarar, Adviser to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema and relevant senior government officials were also present in the meeting.
