The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan held meeting with the delegation from Kazakhstan during the second round of the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC). The meeting between the officials from both the nations took place on June 26, 2023 in the capital city of Astana, Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the Pakistan was led by the Additional Secretary (Afghanistan and West Asia) Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, whereas, the Kazakh side was led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Tumysh.
The details about the meeting between the officials from Pakistan and Kazakhstan during the second round of the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) has been shared by the Office of the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
It is to be noted that, both sides, during the consultations, held extensive talks on several facets of bilateral ties in the political and diplomatic, trade, economic connectivity, science and technology as well as the culture sectors.
Officials from both the sides have also exchanged views on the issues of regional and global significance. Cooperation between both the nations was also reviewed within the framework of the United Nations, CICA, OIC, ECO as well as SCO.
At the same time, it is also to be considered that, the two sides have made agreement towards the early finalization of the Transit Trade Agreement which would become the catalyst for the enhanced trade between the two nations. It was also agreed to boost the connectivity between two nations and welcomed the resumption of direct flights starting early next month.
The consultations has offered a chance for both the sides to thoroughly review the current level of bilateral ties. Both sides have also noted several new areas of mutual interests and recalled the need to further empowering the bilateral ties.
