The chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, has written a letter to Pakistan President, Dr Arif Alvi, demanding an immediate investigation against the former chief of the army staff, Qamar Javed Bajwa, for violating the oath.
Along with this, PTI Chairman, Khan has also sent the details of oath violations by General Qamar Bajwa to the President. In the letter, former PM Khan has made allegations that, “From the information that has come to light proves that Bajwa has committed clear violations of his oath. As General Bajwa admitted in front of Javed Chaudhary, that We consider Imran Khan as a threat to the country.”
He further alleged that, General Bajwa has also admitted that, “We think if Imran Khan remains in power, the country will suffer.” Khan added that, “The use of the word ‘We’ should be investigated.”
It is to be further noted that, Imran Khan in his letter said that, “Who has given the authority to General Bajwa for taking any decision regarding the threat to the nation, which is mainly because I was in power. It is the only decision of the people who they want to elect as their leader. General Bajwa making himself a decision maker in this regard is a clear-cut violation of the oath given in Article 244 as well as the third schedule of the Constitution.”
Notably, at the same time, in the letter, PTI Chief Imran Khan has also mentioned that, “General Bajwa has also admitted that he closed the NAB case against Shaukat Tareen.”
Meanwhile, Imran Khan has alleged that, “General Bajwa disregarded the requirements of his oath despite openly violating the policy of government of neutrality on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. General Bajwan adopted a completely opposite position on the Pakistan government’s policy on the Russia-Ukraine war at the Islamabad Security Conference on April 2, 2022.”
