The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has extended greetings on the International Chinese Language Day.
PM Sharif, took it to his official social media handle to convey the greetings on the International Day of Chinese Language. In the message, PM Sharif extended wishes that “May Chinese culture and Chinese language become rapidly popular around the world.”
While sharing the message, PM Sharif, said that, “Today is the International Day of Chinese Language, the language that represents thousands of years old Chinese culture. Where China has gained its weight around the world due to its economic growth in the recent decades.”
He further wished that, “may Chinese culture and Chinese language become rapidly popular around the world. There is no doubt on it.”
In the message, PM Sharif, said that, “Today, Chinese has become the major language of communication around the world and the United Nations has also included Chinese among the official languages of communication.”
Along with this, PM Sharif also shared the glimpse of the ties that both Pakistan and China shares. Noting to which, he said that, “Economic and cultural relations between Pakistan and China are rapidly boosting because of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.”
He also mentioned that, how people in Pakistan are actively taking part in learning the Chinese Language and participating in the Chinese culture. He said that this is also the result of the positive and strong relations that both of the nations share with each other.
In order to further strengthening the bilateral relationship between both the nations, PM Sharif, said that, “All the possible steps are being taken at the public and private levels in order to promote the Chinese language and literature in Pakistan so that the relations between the people of both the nations can be further strengthened and could work out in a smooth way.”
About Chinese Language Day:
The International Day of Chinese language is observed every year on April 20. It is celebrated in order to pay tribute to Cangjie, who was very significant figure in ancient China and claimed to be an official of Yellow Emperor.
