Roseau, Dominica: Dominica is all set to host Miss Dominica Pageant 2023 on February 19, 2023. The event is part of the Carnival 2023 Real Mas Dominica. Five contestants will participate in the Carnival Show 2023.
Contestant #1- Meeya Francis
Dominica Festivals is featuring contestant #1, Meeya Francis. Coming from the suburban community of Canefield, Meeya is an Aquarius with a love for hiking, sports, experiencing new foods, and story writing.
She is representing the platform “mental health in men”, highlighting its importance on our island.
Contestant #2- Moesha Thomas
Meet Moesha Thomas of the resilient village Petite Soufriere. She is our contestant #2, an Aquarius, with a passion for reading novels, watching films, hiking, and listening to #kompas music!
She aims to become a strength and conditioning sports coach and exercise psychologist – treating the body and the mind! Her platform is all about “empowering women through sports”
Contestant #3 – Adicia Burton
Meet contestant #3 – Adicia Burton from the historic community of Crayfish River, Kalinago Territory! Adicia is a Sagittarius with a love for singing and dancing, reading, playing cricket and volleyball, as well as volunteerism!
With the goal of becoming a medical doctor, Adicia represents the platform “reparations for the Caribbean with a focus on the Indigenous People of Dominica
Contestant #4- Tarnia Eugene
The Carnival Queen show is back for Mas An Lawi 2023. Meet contestant #4 – Tarnia Eugene, from the cultural and dynamic community of Grand Bay! Tarnia is a Capricorn who enjoys baking, hiking/waterfall hunting in The Nature Island and reading.
With the goal of becoming a nursing professional, Tarnia is advocating for the platform “mental health”.
Contestant #5 – Sandrin Elizee
Carnival Queen show is back for Mas An Lawi 2023! Meet contestant #5 and Miss National Bank of Dominica – Sandrin Elizee from the historic community of Kingshill! Sandrin is an Aries, who enjoys binging television series in her pastime and exploring the outdoors in The Nature Island!
With the goal of becoming an economist, Sandrin is advocating for the platform “protecting the innocent to encourage gender equality”
