Castries, Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information of Saint Lucia- Ernest Hilaire, shared glimpses of the meeting with all the businesses within the Rodney Bay area and the Rodney Bay Marina on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
The meeting was hosted by officials from the Ministry of Tourism and representatives from the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority. Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire attended the meeting and interacted with the business person of the community.
He also delivered the keynote address at the meeting, and the glimpses shared by him showed his interactive engagements with the community people. The prime focus of the meeting was to discuss key issues affecting the community and their business.
Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire took to social media and stated,” Today, the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, hosted a meeting with all the businesses within the Rodney Bay area and the Rodney Bay Marina.”
He said that the meeting was aimed at addressing the issues faced by the businesses and outlining the ways to enhance the level of development. Deputy Prime Minister expressed pleasure in talking with the business owners and calling the meeting a valuable platform to get feedback on identifying opportunities for them.
While highlighting the key areas for development, the meeting featured a discussion on the challenges that could hinder the operations of the entities as well as solutions and possible interventions that would allow for the further enhancement of the Rodney Bay area.
“The discussions were fruitful and highlighted key areas for development. The outcomes from this forum will certainly benefit their Saint Lucians and visitors alike,” said the deputy prime minister.
Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire always worked to enhance the country and its people through its several initiatives, such as the launch of the youth economy agency to provide a platform to the young generation for the development of their start-ups.
