The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, has made an address during the 16th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit. It is to be noted that the Summit is being taken place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
While delivering the address, PM Kakar highlighted the continued support and commitment by Pakistan towards the vision of ECO for the regional growth and development. Notably, the details about the above mentioned has been made shared by the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, via his official social media handle.
In his speech at the 16th ECO Summit, PM Kakar emphasized on the importance of regional cooperation amongst the member states for the major things which are also considered to as the main steps of the development, including the promotion of trade, investment, connectivity, development of transport and communications infrastructure, and sustainable economic development.
PM Kakar, during the ECO Summit, said that, “The corridors based approach of ECO was critical for the enhanced regional connectivity.” Adding to the above mentioned, PM Kakar said that, “Successful materialization of the Transit Transport Framework Agreement (TTFA) into projects such as Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul Rail and Road Corridor would unleash the economic potential of the entire region.”
At the same time, during the address at the ECO Summit, PM Kakar has also condemned the incessant and the lethal bombardment of Gaza by the Israeli occupation forces.
Alongside, he also called for the resolution of the Palestinian question in accordance with the relevant UNSC and OIC Resolutions.
It is to be noted that, PM Kakar, during the address, also called for the international attention towards the growing intolerance, xenophobia as well as the islamophobia and called for building political and legal deterrence against the abhorrent rise of Islamophobia while fostering the mutual respect, interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.
