The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, on Monday held a meeting with the delegation of Balochistan government led by Chief Minister Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, on the ongoing affairs in the province.
The meeting discussed the matters related to the administrative affairs of Balochistan province. While highlighting the significance of Balochistan, PM Sharif said that, “Balochistan is a very important province for Pakistan.”
During the meeting, PM Sharif, said that, “The welfare of the people of Balochistan is our first priority. The federal government will work along with the provincial government for the development and prosperity of Balochistan.”
Along with this, he also recalled the speedy completion of the process of shifting the agricultural tubewells to solar energy in Balochistan. Noting to which, he said that, “The federal government will provide all the possible assistance regarding the transfer of agricultural tubewells to solar energy.”
He also made directions that the load shedding of the electricity should be minimized in Balochistan till the transfer of the agricultural tubewells to the solar energy so that the agricultural production from crops and gardens is not affected.
At the same time, PM Sharif, while extending confidence in the name of new provincial cabinet, said that, “I hope the new provincial cabinet under the leadership of the Balochistan Chief Minister will play its role in solving the problems of the province and putting it on the path of development.”
He asked the delegation to speed up the work on the important projects of South Balochistan package. He said that, “Equal opportunities for education and employment are being provided to the youth of the province so that the people of Balochistan continue to play their important role in the development of the nation.”
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and relevant senior government officials participated in the meeting.
