“I think ongoing troubles in Pakistan are clear-cut agenda to try to minus PTI-Chief Imran Khan from the political landscape across nation,” was the statement made by the Senior Member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf(PTI), Zulfiqar Bukhari.
The following statement has been made by former Minister Zulfiqar Bukhari, during an interview with ‘Descifrando La Guerra.’ While further elaborating on this, Zulfiqar Bukhari said that, “Our agenda is one and one only, and that is free and fair elections, so that people of Pakistan have the right of self-determination that is our only agenda.”
Through the interview, Zulfiqar Bukhari has made direct allegations on the current government of Pakistan led by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of misusing the power and doing injustice with the people of Pakistan. Bukhari alleged that, “the government is misusing the power by trying to choke, kill, abduct and kidnap anything that they can do just to try to silence PTI, most of PTI leaders are behind the bars right now.”
It is to be noted that, Zulfiqar Bukhari, a British-born Pakistani politician has been an active senior member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Notably, during the PTI-government, Zulfiqar Bukhari has served as the Special Assistant to the then Prime Minister of Pakistan and PTI Chief Imran Khan in the capacity of a Minister of State in the Cabinet on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
Not limited to this, he was also appointed as the Chairman of the National Tourism Coordination Board, Pakistan along with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation. Moreover, he also shares deep roots with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party, as his uncle Ejaz Hussain Bukhari is one of the senior politician of PTI in Attock, Punjab.
He has also played a significant role in building up of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and actively participated in all the policy making procedures of PTI. Along with this, he has also been close aide to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan since 2011.
Why Bukhari renounced his British Citizenship
It is to be considered that, PTI leader Zulfiqar Bukhari, who has served as the assistant to the then Prime Minister Imran Khan on overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD), has made an announcement of renouncing his British citizenship, saying that he will going to fight alongside former PM Imran Khan for his ‘haqeeqi azaadi movement.’
Notably, PTI leader Zulfiqar Bukhari said that, “The nation needs us.. win or lose is in the hands of Allah, but we have decided to serve our motherland. It was also alleged that I win run away from Pakistan. I am 100% Pakistani, I must live and die here.”

Moreover, Senior Member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Zulfiqar Bukhari has made significant marks in other terms as well. As considerably, Bukhari was featured in May 2018 by The Muslim 100 Power List, which honours the most powerful and influential Muslims for the very highest level of achievement, and was also acknowledged as one of the Most Influential Trailblazers in Britain Today.
At the same time, he was the first Pakistani to appear on the cover of the Mayfair Times.
