St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis Denzil Douglas penned down an appreciation note for mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
While extending wishes, PM Terrance Drew said, “Today, Mother’s Day, is when we celebrate Motherhood and give honour for the sacrifice, Love, and effort of those who gave us life. I like to think of it as a Thanksgiving Day specifically for Mothers, the pillars of our families…the binding force that keeps the family intact.”
He said that the very word mother conjures up memories of Love and care. He is filled with gratitude as he is also mindful of the many mothers who extend themselves to their limits to Love and support their families. Showering Love to his mother, he added, “My mother, Ras Gerzel “Pet” Mills, is a perfect example of such selfless Love. Anyone who knows me knows that I cherish my mother dearly.”
Shedding light upon his bonds with his mother, PM Terrance Drew noted that she is the person who taught him to learn from mistakes, to fight for what he believes in, and to care for others. She is the only constant in this ever-changing world.
Prime Minister said that as a single mother, she has sacrificed tremendously to Love and support her family. With the little that she had, she made a huge difference in our lives. Her Love for us is immeasurable, and she always remains protective of us. It is indeed true that a mother is the first philosopher, guide, teacher, and friend.

He stated that token of Appreciation and Gratitude to the Mothers of C6, they have been steadfast, strong, supportive and generous throughout the year, though not physically present.
