Castries, Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Dr Ernest Hilaire, flaunted the 2022 Visitor Arrival Performance of the island nation. He highlighted 84% more in the Stay Over Arrivals in 2022 than the numbers recorded in 2019 and 179% more than of the Stay Over Arrivals recorded in 2021.
According to some reports, the US market in 2022 performed well and hence gave record-breaking results that were 10% more than the 2019 stay-over arrivals. He added that the sector also achieved 99% of the recovery in 2019. The current record is 2.5 times more than that of 2021.
The Ministry of Tourism of Saint Lucia always takes steps and plans in accordance to make new records in the tourism sector. Their primary focus always remains on providing world-class facilities to visitors to the countries so they can visit the country again.
While reacting to the post of Dr Ernest Hilaire, Madeleine Flavius Flavius appreciates the minister’s and his ministry’s efforts to make this kind of arrangement for the tourist. According to him, the responsibilities of the tourism sector of Saint Lucia is in the right hands. The tourism industry during the COVID-19 pandemic got shocked, and the hard work of the people in the ministry never let the records down of the country.
Furthermore, globally it can be seen that the country from the group of World’s Top Honeymoon destination is making efforts to raise the standards of the industry and promoting the tourism sectors of the country to the rest of the world by attending international forums related to the Tourism sectors. The ministry also further engages with the internationally recognised personality that helps it bring new plans and execute them correctly for the desired output.
Dr Ernest Hilaire concluded that the Tourism Performance of 2022 and 2023 is positive and better than the expected ones. The Ministry of Tourism of Saint Lucia is determined to enhance these results by this year’s end to ensure the industry’s profit.
