St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew, met with the students of Deane Glasford Primary School on Wednesday Morning. He interacted with the students and applauded Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Public Primary Schools.
PM Terrance Drew took to Facebook and expressed pleasure to the students of the primary school. He also outlined his plans for the upliftment of the educational structure of St Kitts and Nevis. PM Drew also lauded the scholarship and added that there was a time when he benefited from the programme. He said that he is significantly aware of the benefits of the scholarship programme.
PM Drew said, “This morning, I visited my alma mater, the Deane Glasford Primary School to speak to the students as part of the Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Public Primary Schools Tour. I benefited from this same scholarship in 1989.”
He also led the tour of the school and stated that the programme has emerged as one of the most successful scholarship programmes in St Kitts and Nevis. The TDC Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Programme, named after the first Chairman of the TDC Group of Companies, Warren C. Tyson, was started in 1981 and offers financial assistance and support to students entering secondary school.
Along with that, PM Dr Terrance Drew also met with the citizens of his Constituency and expressed pleasure in listening to his constituents. He also extended full support to the citizens and said that the government is always in the place to help them in their well-being.
PM Terrance Drew noted, “I visited my Constituents today after speaking with the students at the Deane Glasford Primary School. I am always happy for any opportunity to engage with the residents of my Constituency.”
