The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, on Wednesday has paid homage to the Captain Karnal Sher Khan on his 24th Martyrdom Day. It is to be noted that, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, took it to his official social media handle to pay homage to Captain Karnal Sher Khan.
While sharing the note on the valour and service of Captain Karnal Sher Khan, PM Sharif added that, “The entire nation including me pays homage to Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed on his 24th Martyrdom Day.”
He further mentioned that the entire nation of Pakistan owes to the holy blood of the martyrs. Noting to which, PM Sharif added that, “History is a witness that the existence, progress and survival of the nations owes to the holy blood of the martyrs.”
At the same time, PM Sharif further highlighted the bravery, valour and courage that Captain Karnal Sher Khan has shown for protecting his motherland. Noting to which, PM Sharif said that, “ Captain Col. Sher Khan was a metaphor of martyred bravery who showed undying courage in defense of motherland. The nation of Pakistan will always be indebted to its martyrs and will continue to pray for the elevation of their ranks.”
It is to be mentioned that, Captain Karnal Sher Khan was deployed at the Gultari region during the Kargil war. He along with his fellow troops have set up five strategic posts at the height of 17,000 feet at the Gultari.
Moreover, noting to the action of Khan during the Kargil war was witnessed by his fellow Pakistani troops and he was posthumously awarded the highest military honour of Pakistan, Nishan-e-Haider.
Along with this, the home town of Karnal Sher Khan ‘Naway Kallay’ was renamed as Karnal Sher Khan Kallay. A mausoleum was also set up in his hometown where his body lays in rest. Every year, Pakistan government officials, Pakistan Armed Forces along with other locals visit the tomb to offer prayers.
