The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shehbaz Sharif Friday, has shown greenlight to the cargo plane carrying relief goods of 20-tonne for the earthquake victims of Turkey. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took it to his official social media handle to share the update along with the photos among the general public.
While taking it to social media handle to announce about the update, PM Sharif said that, “Just saw off a cargo airplane which carries relief goods of 20-tons for the earthquake victims of Turkiye. Pakistan has established an air, land and sea bridge for the provision of relief assistance and help for our brothers & sisters in Syria and Türkiye.”
At the same time, PM Sharif further noted that, “The people of Pakistan cannot forget how Türkiye came forward to help us at the time of the earthquake of 2005 & super floods of 2010. The Islamic concept of brotherhood binds us in a unique relationship where we share the pain of each other.”
Notably, a Turkish military has also reached Lahore to carry relief goods, in which over 100 tons of relief goods were sent to Turkey. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has shared the following information on his official social media handle. Referring to which he also added that, “A total of 142 tons of relief goods were sent to Turkey. 12 tons of relief goods have already left Lahore for Turkey by PIA 777. 30 more tonnes of relief goods were also among the relief aid sent by the Pakistan authorities by special PIA flight.”
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been continuously conducting meeting with government officials of Pakistan on the ongoing situation across Turkey and is continuously coming up with the steps to help earthquake victims of Turkey. Though, the Prime Minister has appealed to all sections of the people to donate generously for the suffering brothers and sisters of Turkey. He said that we have to send a message to our Turkish people with donations that we are with them.
