The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica and the Chairperson of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has taken part in the CARICOM-Saudi Arabia Summit that has taken place in Riyadh.
Not just participated, but the Chairman of CARICOM, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has also co-chaired the CARICOM-Saudi Arabia Summit. The details about the meeting, has been shared by the Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, over his official social media handle.
Sharing the details, PM Skerrit, added that, “I co-chaired the first #CARICOM-Saudi Arabia Summit held in Riyadh under the distinguished patronage of HRH the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.”
Earlier also, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, held meeting with the Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz.
It is to be noted that, the meeting that took place between the leaders of the Caribbean and Saudi Arabia with an objective to deepen the bilateral relations and the facilitate the new ties between CAIRCOM member states and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will likely to bear positive fruits for Caribbean.
As it is clear from the conference, where the Saudi Arabia leaders has shown an eye on the investment opportunities in the Caribbean.
Considering which, the Tourism Minister of Saudi Arabia, Al-Khateeb, while addressing the conference, said that, “We want to build steps by connecting you with Saudi investors … with a keen eye on investing in your region.”
Meanwhile, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, addressing the summit, said that, “SFD has already employed $670 million in the CARICOM region, with $200 billion worth of projects currently under discussion.”
“The Caribbean is a high-priority economic investment and business opportunity for Saudi Arabia,” said Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih while inaugurating the summit.
