Castries, Saint Lucia: Prime Minister Philip J Pierre shared glimpses of the sports meet of St Mary’s College and extended greetings and wishes to the winners. He congratulated the Tapon House on winning the sports meet on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
The sports meet was hosted by St Mary’s College at Daren Sammy Cricket Ground. The first event of the sports meet was the march pas after the beginning of the games. Secondly, the old boys march past was held at 1: 00 pm.
PM Philip J Pierre took to Facebook and extended greetings to the winners. H hailed the best performers, students, teachers and coaches for staging such an exciting and successful event.
He cited, “Today just keeps getting better. I was informed that Tapon House, my House won the sports meet of St. Mary’s College, my alma mater.”
While lauding the sports ministry, he stated that the government of Saint Lucia is committed to enhancing the sports sector as a whole. He added that the Old boys and SJC girls had performed exceptionally well in the sporting events.
PM Philip J Pierre said, “Congratulations to the athletes for your victory and your participation. To the teachers, parents, Old Boys, and SJC girls, thank you for showing your support.”
He also encouraged and hailed the players who were unable to secure the victory and stated that hard work always pays off and they will perform best in the next events. He said, “Unfortunately for some of my colleagues, their huts were not victorious. Better luck next time, gentlemen.”
Along with PM Philip J Pierre, various citizens and residents of Saint Lucia took to the opportunity to extend greetings to the winners.
