Castries, Saint Lucia: Prime Minister of Saint Lucia- Philip J Pierre, through this official Facebook account, expressed his condolences upon the passing of Sherwin “Drizzy” Charlemagne, a 23 yrs old man who died in an accident that occurred at approximately 1:50 am at the bottom section of the Julian R Hunte Highway near Choc.
On the official Facebook account, PM Philip J Pierre remarked and posted his condolences about Drizzy’s sudden and tragic death. He also stated his condolences to the family and friends of Drizzy.
PM Philip J Pierre quoted that this morning he learnt the unfortunate death of Sherwin “Drizzy” Charlemagne, a tragedy for his family and friends who are also his friends and constituents.”
Furthermore, PM Pierre stated that Drizzy made a huge contribution to the field of music and was titled a great artist regarding this; he also sang Drizzy’s song named “Clap for Your Birthday/Happy Birthday”, at the recently held CARICOM Heads of government.
Additionally, PM Philip J Pierre also sang the song “Clap for Your Birthday/Happy Birthday” as an honour for Sherwin “Drizzy” Charlemagne and was written by himself and become famous among many people of Saint Lucia. Meanwhile, he also expressed disappointment with the fact that Drizzy hasn’t been able to participate in the Youth Economy.
In conclusion, PM Philip J Pierre said, “I feel sad for Drizzy for not getting the opportunity to participate in the Youth Economy and added that he supported its vision from his days as Opposition Leader.”
Saint Lucia social media user, Karen Vidal, took the comment section, featured the condolences, and commented, “My sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Sherwin.”
Another user named Nail Joseph also expressed, “Rest easy, my brother was that one who hurt me, One of the best artists on the island. I will miss you bro.”
