Castries, Saint Lucia: Prime Minister of Saint Lucia- Philip J Pierre, asked the men and women of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) to redouble their efforts in order to maintain peace and security in the country.
PM Philip J Pierre took to Facebook and lauded the efforts taken out by the Police force to ensure that the citizens can roam around Saint Lucia freely. He also expressed gratitude to the men and women of the RSLPF and stated that this is because of them that common people can live without fear.
PM Philip J Pierre stated, “I want to take a moment to encourage and express my gratitude to the men and women of the RSLPF. In recent times, you have been called to redouble your efforts to ensure that our streets are secure and that we can go about our daily lives without fear.”
PM Pierre announced that in order to maintain law and order in Saint Lucia, they have taken a decision to request the assistance of the RSS to support the ongoing work of their local law enforcement officers, and yesterday evening, he had the opportunity to welcome them to Saint Lucia and thank them for their service.
He also extended gratitude to the Government and People of The Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Barbados and said, “Thank you for sending some of your best men and women to work with us at this time – One Caribbean.”
PM Philip J Pierre asked the people to continue to support and encourage the police force and work together to create a safe and thriving community for all.
Earlier, PM Pierre received a comprehensive overview of the current state of national security and the measures being taken to secure the lives and livelihoods of residents, particularly in Vieux Fort.
“I wish to express my appreciation for the hard work and dedication of law enforcement officers and reaffirm my commitment to providing the resources needed to deal with these criminals and cowards who seek to disrupt the peace of our beautiful island, “said the prime minister.
