The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, held telephonic call with the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, to hold discussion on the ongoing situation of the Palestine.
It is to be noted that, the details about the above mentioned has been shared by the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, via his official social media handle, adding that, “Held call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today to discuss the latest situation resulting from the ongoing brutalities of Israeli occupation forces against innocent Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.”
During the phone call, PM Kakar expressed Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the lethal bombardment by the Israeli occupation forces, mainly the bombing of the Al-Ahli hospital. During the talks, PM Kakar termed these as deplorable and willful acts of the Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians that has resulted in the loss of more than 3000 precious lives and left over 12000 injured.
At the same time, both leaders have focused on the need for the international community to urge Israel to immediately stop the bloodshed that has been going on. Along with this, they have also agreed on the necessity of lifting the blockade on Gaza for facilitating the delivery of vital humanitarian aid as well as medical assistance to the people that are affected.
Notably, the government of Pakistan has also dispatched its first humanitarian assistance for Palestinian people that have landed in Egypt.
PM Kakar added that the international community, in specific the United Nations, needed to take resolute measures for resolving the crisis, and to uphold the established principle of justice, humanity and the international law.
It is to be specifically mentioned that, PM Kakar also reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Pakistan to a just and lasting resolution of the Palestinian conflict on the basis of the “two state” solution, leading to the establishment of a sovereign and viable Palestinian state with the East Jerusalem as its capital, and the borders that were existing before 1967.
During the telephonic conversation, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas extended gratitude to Pakistan for the longstanding and sustained support to the Palestinian people in their struggle for the freedom from Israeli occupation.
