In hospitals, the Alexa Smart Properties application allows therapists to interact with patients through the calling and intercom-esque drop-in characteristics without having to access patient places. Patients could request issues, or caretakers could review how someone is holding through the characteristic. “This allows clinics to improve productivity and be capable of saving on pharmaceutical supplies,” Torres states. Hospitals can also convey news and messages to patients through Alexa.
Patients can toggle on “do not worry” to limit drop-ins, Torres states. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, BayCare Health System in Florida, and Houston Methodist are combining Alexa to their amenities, Amazon announced.
Amazon isn’t the only influential tech organization with an investment in the healthcare domain. Microsoft spent $40 million on an AI for Health plans, and it stated proposals beginning this year to acquire language tech corporation Nuance for $19.7 billion to expand its AI, cloud, and healthcare purposes. Google, while, has served nearly with some healthcare providers. It stated intentions to reopen an agency in Rochester, Minnesota, this year. The Mayo Clinic is headquartered there, and the two teams prepare to cooperate more.
