Castries, Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism Minister- Ernest Hilaire welcomed three cruise ships named SC Seaside, Marella Explorer and Wind Surf at the port of Castries on Monday, March 6, 2023. He shared glimpses and expressed pleasure in greeting guests.
While taking to social media, Ernest Hilaire hailed the ships and stated that it has flourished cruise season 2022/23 of Saint Lucia. The local vendors of Saint Lucia have showcased the local product offerings to visitors of the cruise ships. It provided the chance for the vendors to enhance their business and get the global market for the selling of their items, showcasing the culture and heritage of the country.
Saint Lucia Tourism Authority greeted the guests with an exciting welcome event featuring local talents and musicians of the country. They greeted the visitors with their branded items in front of the cruise passengers.
While sharing glimpses, Ernest Hilaire stated that the guests onboard MSC Seaside, Mareland Wind Surf were welcomed by the sounds of some of the local musicians on the steps of the Castries Market.
“They also enjoyed walking through the market where our vendors had on display Saint Lucian branded items for purchase, “Ernest Hilaire added.
The glimpses on the page of Ernest Hilaire stated that the guests were enjoying the magnificent views in Castries and greeted themselves with the local culture of Saint Lucia. He said that the arrival of the cruise passengers worked to enhance the local product offerings to visitors.
He noted that it is critical that they continue to enhance the local product offerings to visitors while ensuring that Saint Lucians benefit from more of the ‘tourism pie’.
While naming the local product offerings to visitors, Ernest Hilaire referred to it as “Less leakages, More Linkages.” Saint Lucia is a popular tourist site due to its tropical weather and scenery and for its large number of beaches and resorts.
