Pakistan: The HBL PSL (Pakistan Super League) is scheduled to kick off its eighth (8th) season from January 9th to March 19th, 2023. The team management has selected their retained player and mentors for the upcoming seasons.
Per the reports, the list of the retained players in all six teams was released yesterday on the official Facebook handle of Pakistan Super League after the teams were instructed to keep a fixed number of players in a retention draft before further picks as per the tournament rules.
In the issued list of the retained players, all six teams participating in the domestic cricket tournament have mentioned the names and categories along with the brand ambassadors of their respective teams, which are mentioned below,

The management of the Pakistan Super League teams has also shared that the players have been distributed and retained per the different categories, such as Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging, according to their potential and positions.
Furthermore, all the teams have picked their brand ambassadors and mentors from their retained players that will lead the team in the coming edition of the PSL league, 2023, such as,
Asif Ali will be mentoring Islamabad United, while New Zealand opening batsman Colin Munro has appointed as their team ambassador.
In Karachi Kings, a Pakistani pace Bowler is appointed as the team’s mentor, along with Shoaib Malik being the ambassador for the season.
Pakistani lethal fast bowler has been appointed as the ambassador of the Lahore Qalandars for the 8th season.
Shahnawaz Dahini will act as the ambassador for Multan Sultan, whereas Peshawar Zalmi has not chosen anyone for ambassador roles and mentorship from their retained players list.
In Quetta Gladiators, M. Hasnain and Umar Akmal will perform their mentor and ambassador duties, respectively.
As per the latest updates, HBL PSL team management will be picking their players in a drafting ceremony to build their teams for the coming season.
