The recent change in the name of Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Youtube channel has generated curiosity that Prime Minister Imran Khan may step down at a rally called by him in Islamabad on Sunday.
The rally is to show strength from Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as leaders of the opposition are already waiting to pass a no-confidence vote in National Assembly to out his government.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan is facing a surge in economic as well as social challenges as his government is facing blames from the opposition side for corruption.
The recent update by changing the name of the YouTube channel on Saturday has struck doubts in minds. The channel had a verified tick when it was named Prime Minister’s Office and has now been renamed ‘Imran Khan.’
Imran Khan has been hard-hitting in his counter-offensive at the opposition calling Pakistan oppositions “dacoits” and has asked people to gather in large numbers to Islamabad’s Parade Ground on March 27.
As per the tweet by PTI referring to Imran Khan, “I want my people to come to Parade Ground tomorrow, we will show a sea of people!”
Opposition parties submitted the no-confidence motion on March 8 after the PPP’s long march in Islamabad. The opposition leaders are sure that its motion will be carried as many PTI legislators have come out in the open against PM Imran Khan.
According to reports, as the no-confidence motion sessions come closer and doubts continue to mount, over 50 ministers belonging to the ruling party have not been seen in public since the opposition is gaining a stand against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On Wednesday, Imran Khan said he would not going to resign under any circumstances amid rising pressure from the opposition.
He said, “I will not going to resign under any circumstance. I will play till the last ball, and I will surprise them a day before as they are still under pressure. My trump card is that I have not opened my cards yet.”
