Castries, Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia- Ernest Hilaire extended greetings and warm wishes on International Women’s Day. He pledged to work efficiently to close the gender gap on March 8, 2023.
Ernest Hilaire took to social media and appreciated the women for their huge contribution to society and added that he will always work to increase the opportunities for women.
Ernest Hilaire added, “On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I do wish all women in Castries South and the entire country a wonderful day.” He took the opportunity to salute and honour women around the world and noted, “I pledge to continue the fight for all women and to closing the gender gap.”
Lauding the women, Ernest Hilaire added,” Some us, because of our upbringing, know the strength of a woman. We have lived it, protected by it and succeeded because of it. Every day I am reminded of the struggles of women and witness the resilience to overcome the challenges that they face.”
While calling women an inspiration for him, he appreciated them and stated that women who work with him should be lauded for their contribution. “I am inspired by so many women who work with me and support me. Let us continue to fight for all, building a better society,” said the deputy prime minister.
