The Interim Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani will be visiting the 27th Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers in Susha, Azerbaijan, which will take place from October 9, 2023 to October 10, 2023.
It is to be noted that, the details about the above mentioned has been shared by the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on Saturday via their official social media handle.
While taking it to their official announcement about the Foreign Minister’s visit to attend the 27th Meeting of ECO-COM, the office of the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, added that, “Foreign Affairs Jalil Abbas Jilani will undertake an official visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 27th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to be held from October 9, 2023 to October 10, 2023 in Susha, Azerbaijan.”
During the visit, the interim Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani will be holding the meeting with the minister that are taking part in the meeting. Along with this, he will also be addressing the Council of Ministers (COM) and hold the bilateral meetings with the participating ministers of the member states as well as the dignitaries on the sidelines of the event.
According to the details added by the information shared by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, “As the policy-making forum of ECO, the Council of Ministers approves the decision and annual work plan of the Organization. At the 27th COM, the member states will discuss the promotion of the sustainable economic development of the ECO region via trade and economic cooperation and mutual assistance in social, cultural, technical and scientific fields.”
It is to be added that, the theme for this year’s event is “Green Transition and Interconnectivity.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has further expressed that, “As a founding member, Pakistan remains strongly committed to the ECO’s aims and objectives and has remained at the forefront of all major ECO initiatives/agreements such as the ECO Trade Agreement (ECOTA) and the ECO Transit Transport Framework Agreement (ECOTTFA).
