The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday paid a visit at the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. During the visit, PM Sharif also visit and expressed solidarity to those who were injured in the Police Lines Blast.
Following the visit, PM Sharif said that, “Those who did this heinous crime by shedding the blood of worshippers in the house of Allah cannot be real Muslims. Those who commit these crimes will not be able to escape from the hands of Allah.”
Meanwhile, PM Sharif has also directed medical staff to provide the best medical facilities to those who are wounded in the attack.
While noting to the growing number of such crimes, PM Sharif added that, “The attacks on mosques and innocent civilians during prayers in the name of Islam is the worst act. The people of Pakistan have recognized the actual faces of the baseless ideology of the extremists and the elements who misinterpret the religion. Such cowardly attacks cannot shake our national resolve against terrorism. The evil elements that are part of these attacks will be brought to justice.”
At the same time, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was briefed by Corps Commander Peshawar regarding the factors and motivations of terrorism, while the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa presented a preliminary investigation report on the suicide attack in police lines. The prime minister was also shown the CCTV footage of the suicide attack in the police lines. The participants chanted Fatiha for those martyred in the police lines attack and expressed sympathy with the affected families & also extended prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The Prime Minister said that the terrorists are making a sinister attempt to create an environment of fear & terror by attacking the institutions who are responsible for the defense of Pakistan, which will be thwarted by the power of the unity of the state as well as the people. Pakistan has made great sacrifices against terrorism, we won’t let the sacrifices of martyrs go in vain. The Prime Minister said that the capacity and efficiency of the anti-terrorist institutions, the police will be increased, and the implementation of the National Action Plan will be ensured with full force and comprehensiveness.
