PM Sharif, Prez Alvi & other Pakistani leaders pays last tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, President Dr Arif Alvi and others have expressed grief over the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, who was Britain’s longest-running monarch. They further offered condolences to the Royal Family and the people and government of the UK.

After hearing the news about Queen’s health, her family members started gathering at her Scottish estate on Thursday, where she spent her last days.

After the death of the Queen, her eldest son Charles, who was the former Prince of Wales, will lead the nation in mourning as the new King and head of state for 14 Commonwealth realms.

As per the statement released by the Buckingham Palace, “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King & the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, took it to Twitter, stating that, “Deeply grieved at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Pakistan joins the UK and other Commonwealth nations in mourning her death. My heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family, people & government of the UK.”

At the same time, the President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, has expressed his sincere condolences to the Royal family, the government & the people of Great Britain on the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, the second longest reigning monarch in the history of Great Britain.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly of Pakistan took it to their Twitter handle, stating that, “Speaker NA extended deepest condolences and sympathies to family, friends, people and Govt of Britain sad demise of #QueenElizabethII.”
