The 10-member delegation of Veterans of Pakistan on Thursday has arrived at the Zaman Park residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chief Imran Khan. Noting to which, the delegation held a special meeting with PTI Chief Khan, putting deep concern over the efforts of the ruling coalition in the nation to intensify the constitutional crisis.
It is to be noted that during the meeting, the delegation held discussions with PTI Chief over several ongoing matter that are impacting the national cycle, including the impact of rapidly deteriorating economic situation on the national security.
Notably, during the meeting the entire delegation has also condemned the ongoing attacks by the government on the state institutions, specifically the judiciary through Parliament.
Moreover, during the talks, they have also put deep concern over the attempts to sabotage the constitution by not holding elections within the stipulated time period under the constitution.
At the same time, PTI Chief Khan has also shared the glimpses of the meeting with the delegation of the veterans on his official social media handle.
During the meeting, the veterans’ delegation has expressed anger over the current government, adding that, “The government is wasting the fruits of the war that we have won against the terrorism by decades of sacrifices.”
They also held discussion on the continuously shrinking character of Pakistan at the global level because of the weak and inadequate foreign policies.
It is to be especially noted that PTI Chief Khan has extended complete support for the rule of the constitution, rule of law and the role of solid link between people and institutions in the country.
During the meeting, he also emphasized on the need to refrain from attempts to pave the way for internal chaos with unreasonable adventurism around the western border under guise of ending terrorism, along with demanding to immediately stop the promotion of extremism and hatred at the state level by imposing restrictions on freedom of expression.
