Web Desk (ISLAMABAD) — Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said on Wednesday that abuse of power for personal gains amounts to corruption. He said that the corrupt elite should be punished if change is to be brought into the country, reported 24 News HD.
Talking to media, Imran Khan criticized the alleged corruption of the rulers specifically Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Sharif is cutting ‘red tape after red tape’ to divert attention, said Imran.
Imran Khan said that Panama case has no personal benefit to him rather, the money is looted from public exchequer and should be brought back. He said that the ruling elite should be accounted for their corruption.
Commenting on the appointment of Muhammad Zubair as Governor Sindh, Imran said that the Governor has been ‘blessed’ with the post on basis of loyalty and not capability.
He also criticized Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Rana Sanaullah and Khawaja Saad Rafique, saying that the leaders had been involved in attacking Supreme Court. They are resorting to pressure tactics again, warned Imran.
