Web Desk (24 News) — Daesh (also known as ISIS/ ISIL) is targeting our youth with their extremist ideology said Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Thursday. Extremism is being eliminated from society by conducting Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad said DG ISPR, reports 24 News HD.
According to details, DG ISPR gave opening address at Seminar ” Role of Youth in Rejecting Extremism”. Speaking to the audience, he said that it is the collective duty as ‘state’ and individual duty in our respective domain to shield our youth against threat of terrorism.
Highlighting achievement of youth in the ongoing war, he said that of all the sacrifices made by uniformed Pakistanis 90 percent contributions are by our youth i.e young soldiers and officers. “Please know that amongst others, we owe our achievements in ongoing operations to the youth”, said Maj Gen Ghafoor.
Talking about Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, DG ISPR said it aimed at consolidating gains of all military operations concluded earlier. It aims to bring about an ‘enduring peace and stability’, he said. One of its strands is to eliminate extremism from our society, added Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor.
