Web Desk (24 News) — Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Sunday that peace in Karachi is vital for the stability of the country. He reiterated that efforts will continue till restoration of complete normalcy in Karachi, reports 24 News HD.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Karachi Corps Head Quarters where he was briefed on security situation in the city. The Army Chief was also updated on the progress of Operation Radd-ul-Fasad and military’s support to census process in Sindh.
COAS appreciated the efforts of Army and Sindh Rangers for their contributions towards establishing peace in the city.
He also appreciated efforts of intelligence agencies and security forces in winning back dissident elements by engaging them positively.
