Web Desk (24 News) — Indian state authorities on Thursday imposed a total ban on social media websites in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), reports 24 News HD.

According to a source, the order from the Indian Home Department of the state government said the order was in “the interests of peace and tranquility in the state” and that social media was “misused by anti-national and anti-social elements.”
22 social media websites have been banned by the state authorities in IOK, it is learnt.
