Rawalpindi (24 News): After Lahore, Banners in support of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have surfaced in the city of Rawalpindi as well, reports 24 News HD.
According to news reports, the banners have surfaced throughout the city of Rawalpindi in preparation for the Panama Case verdict.
The banners are reported to read: ‘Qadam barhao Nawaz Sharif, Hum tumharay saath hain’.
The banners are significant in the sense that they are different from the ones that were seen in Lahore over the week, which read: ‘Quaid tera aik ishara, haazir haazir lahoo humara’.
Both types of banners seem to invite the workers of the PML (N) to gather and rally in support of their leader, and the invitations can be deemed as subversive.
The banners are reported to have been set up by the Mayor of Rawalpindi Sardar Naseem, who belongs to the PML (N).
There are also reports that all MNA’s and MPA’s of the PML (N) are expected to rally outside the Rawalpindi Press Club in a few hours. The rally is supposed to be a show of solidarity with the PM.
A gathering of such sorts on the day when the Panama verdict is expected can turn violent very quickly.
